Para Llevar y no Llevar al Campamento

These documents are basic translations to communicate clearly with parents, not professional translations. Many thanks to Linda S for providing the translations.

Please contact Camp Mennoscah with any questions. We will not have all the answers, but we will answer as best we can.

Some families have asked how this summer will look.  Summer youth camps will be very similar to pre-2020 with cabin use.  If we do not have enough counselors, as happened in 2022, we would likely use a tent to allow more campers to attend.  A nurse is still working on some of the protocols, but quarantine or close contact groups will not be used.  Based on the final protocol/guidelines, general illness may mean the camper would go home sooner than in past years.  Camp Mennoscah does not expect to test for COVID.  Parents/Guardians would be responsible for any testing.

Health Guidelines
-If you are feeling sick or are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, stay home.  Please let us know if you are registered for a camp or retreat.
-Perform a daily self-check for COVID-19 symptoms and notify a staff member or counselor immediately, if you feel unwell.
-Mask wearing is optional, both indoors and outdoors. We want you to feel safe and comfortable!

Camp Scholarships

Camp scholarship funds are available. Many churches also offer camp scholarships. Please contact Camp Mennoscah at 620-297-3290, office@campmennoscah.org or apply online here. Scholarships are confidential. Church scholarships must be received by Camp Mennoscah before the first day of camp or the camper will be responsible for paying any remaining charges at the time of registration. Checks must be made out to Camp Mennoscah.

Dress Code

Camp is a place for comfortable, modest clothes. Clothing for both boys and girls is expected to be non-revealing and non-provocative. Swimsuits should be one-piece or a tankini that covers mid-section for girls and no racing trunks for boys. Campers, whose clothes are deemed inappropriate by camp staff, will be asked to either change or wear a colored t-shirt over a swimsuit as a cover-up.

Visitors

Camp Mennoscah welcomes visitors and parents on the first and last days of camp during registration and pick up times.

Camp Mennoscah Renovation Fund

Camp Mennoscah relies on donations for further camp development such as renovations and future improvements or additions around the camp. This could include new sports equipment, pool accessories, building renovations, landscaping or picnic tables. To contribute to this fund, check the appropriate box during online registration or contact Camp Mennoscah for other options. Thank you for your support in the ongoing ministry of the camp!

Camper Mail

We welcome mail of most kinds, just make sure it has enough postage and time to get here. Lanyards and other bulky items require more than a First-Class stamp. Please do not send food or candy to your camper — any food received will be held by staff until the camper completes check-out at the end of the week. All mail that arrives after the final day of camp will be forwarded or returned to the sender. You can send mail to:

“Camper’s Name” c/o Camp Mennoscah, PO Box 65, Murdock, KS 67111

If you wish to send an email message to your camper, please send an email to camper@campmennoscah.org with the camper’s name as the subject line. If received by 10am CST, the message will be printed and given to the camper with all other mail during lunch.  No emails will be distributed on the last day of camp. Please limit images to 1-2 per email and send them as attachments rather than embedded photos.
