Program Directors
John Regier loves camp and loves showing others everything that is great about it--the singing, the people, the food, the games, and the sand in your bunk! When John isn’t at camp he dreams about the minnows nibbling on his toes and poppyseed kolaches by the hundreds! John is a farmer/artist and grew up (well, not quite yet) in Beatrice, NE, and because he wouldn’t move out of his childhood home, his parents are! John has been an avid camper, counselor, and staff since the age of 9.
Chris Riesen grew up in Beatrice, NE but after having graduated from Bethel College, found that he felt at home in the North Newton. He farms in the Newton area and spends his days bird-watching, splitting wood for his new fireplace, and clumsily learning French. This will be his 10th summer directing Pre-Junior camp and is excited to make it the best one yet!
